CEO - Myriota

Myriota is a ground-breaking company and SA 2017 Telstra Business of the Year winner in the New Business Category, providing low cost IoT connectivity without the need for any ground based towers or other infrastructure.  CEO Alex Grant will discuss the path to commercialising research out of academic settings and will talk about Myriota’s “premeditated commercialisation” approach and journey.

Post Event

Adept Technology hosted another successful breakfast event and seminar for over 40 of SA’s ICT and business community this morning at the Lion Hotel.

Both speakers were thoroughly engaging and informative with quite a buzz at the end of breakfast.  Many guests stayed on to chat and network amongst like-minded individuals.

The first of two speakers, Joe Thorp (Chief Executive of TechinSA), discussed the case for innovation and the imperatives for support and engagement with start-ups.  He also gave us a peak into some of the momentum of up-and-comers moving ahead in SA, which was truly eye-opening.
